Wedding Day Pinks

Welcome

Just a personal note - I may not be around the blogisphere much in the next few days as I am having a nerve surgically released in my right elbow tomorrow.  I may hobble around later in the week, typing with my left hand....

This is another card I made for sale locally
The image is a Wedding Couple by Mitzi of Aurora Wings.

I coloured the image with chalks, and after die cutting it (S/B Romantic Rectangles) sponged on some Spun Sugar DI.

The paper I chose for the base was too dark for the softly coloured image, so I placed a layer of  printed vellum over it to mute and soften the colour, and embossed the sentiment in silver over that.  The sentiment is from a now unobtainable Layers of Color set.  I tore the end of the vellum to add interest.

The final details were some flat backed pearls.

This is so beautiful - great idea to use chalks.
Ouch - I hope you have a speedy recovery!

The chalking adds to the elegance of your card. Since you are back already I'm guessing it wasn't too terribly horrible (or else you heal real fast).
